It's almost time

... for white asparagus

With the arrival of spring comes Spargelzeit, a highly anticipated moment in the German culinary calendar! For a limited time only, we celebrate white asparagus: an ingredient of delicacy and deep cultural significance from mid-April through to June.

Grown beneath the earth and carefully shielded from sunlight, white asparagus develops its distinctive ivory colour, yielding a tender bite and a refined, gently sweet flavour.

Revered across Germany as “weisses Gold” – white gold – it’s a seasonal tradition as much as it’s a delicious addition to our menus. Available for a short season from April through June, it’s one of Germany’s most anticipated culinary traditions in the calendar!
