Our all day menu includes London’s finest schnitzels, sausages, seasonal delicacies and tortes. Our History

Our stunning Grade II listed building, constructed by the German Gymnastics Society in 1865, once hosted London’s first indoor Olympic Games in 1866 and again in 1908. Re-designed by Conran and Partners, German Gymnasium reopened in 2015 as a Grand Café, restaurant and bar.

Today, you can sip and dine where spectators once watched athletes, with original features still visible above.

Celebrate Goose Season

The Best of Goose is back from 11 November until January

Celebrate St Martin’s Day with a true German tradition. Enjoy our Best of the Goose plate, or pre-order the Ganze Gans — a whole goose perfect for 4–6 guests to share. Both are served with classic seasonal trimmings: red cabbage, German-style kale, bread dumplings, rich goose sauce, poached pear and lingonberries.
